Working on Star Wars Episode III as Cellheim Anujo wasn’t Dean Mitchell's first opportunity to be a part of Star Wars. Yet having been a childhood fan himself feels fortunate to have been a part of the legacy but didn’t anticipate the level of attention that would bring.
Episode III Revenge of the Sith: Dean was at Shepperton Studios meeting Christian Simpson when Hayden Christensen and Rick McCallum passed. After us seeing various sets and an invite to the prop room with such delights as Palpatines Chair, the key-players light sabres and Yoda he got a call later that day asking if he could attend a costume fitting the next day which ended up being the outfit for Cellheim Anujo that originally was used in Australia by TV Moore. Rehearsals set at a later day with filming scheduled further on Dean found himself after the first take being asked by George Lucas if he was O.K. For the 2nd take George took me to a new position and said “We’re going to start this one on you!” Unfortunately that take didn’t make the final cut but at least it’ll be in the archive somewhere at Skywalker Ranch. Maybe one day it’ll make it onto The Directors Cut!
Episode II Attack of the Clones: Dean was one of 6 people sent up for 2 roles and was runner up to play Passel Argente. He later had a costume fitting as Jango Fett but that was for a commercial.
Episode I The Phantom Menace: When his Agent called to ask if he would like to be a Naboo Civillian, he wasn't aware a new Star Wars movie was in production but when costumes ran short and wasn't used.
