Working on Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith wasn’t Deans first opportunity to work on Star Wars. Despite the films huge popularity Dean Mitchell never anticipated the level of personal attention that his work would bring. So when an invitation to attend a convention came in he felt duty bound to meet like-minded fans to spread the word of Senator Cellheim Anujo of the Galactic Senate to keep up the interest of Star Wars fans and support the great work that Lucasfilm creates. Being a childhood fan himself he remembers his first viewing of A New Hope. “My father wasn’t concerned with what time a movie starts - with his idea of turning up whenever, and if we missed the begining, we’d catch it again on the second showing. We entered as C3PO was getting his oil bath.”

What do we know about Cellheim Anujo - The veiled mysterious member of the Galactic Senate seen on Coruscant, the species and sex presently unknown. Will he become a loyal follower of Palpatine and turn to the dark side? We’re aware he’s just been introduced for Episode III and if Cellheim Anujo survives into the next stage of the Star Wars universe time will tell. Trisha Biggars costume design was on display at the Dressing a Galaxy Exhibition, seen in the clip below.

Episode I The Phantom Menace:
Dean didn’t realise that it was in production so when his agent called to ask if he could play a Naboo Civillian at Leavesden, UK he jumped at the chance but when costumes ran short he wasn’t used.

Episode II Attack of the Clones:
With the majority shot in Australia he thought it unlikely he’d get on it but got a call to play Passel Argente. Being the fifth person to be fitted, the part went to Nick Field for his slightly longer chin. Later got a call to play Jango Fett but arriving at the casting it turned out to be a toy commercial.

Episode III Revenge of the Sith:
“I was at Shepperton Studios meeting Christian Simpson when Hayden Christensen and Rick McCallum walked past. A lunchtime walk and several sets later we got invited for a tour of the Prop room trying out Palpatines chair, seeing Yoda and handling the key players light sabres. I later bumped into Sue Wood (one of the best 2nd Assistant Directors in the business) who knew me from Thunderbirds and Band of Brothers. On my way home that evening I got a call asking if I was free the next day for a costume fitting. To cut a long story short I was fitted as Cellheim Anujo, previously played by TV Moore in Australia. Rehearsals set at a later date with filming a few days later. On set after take one I found George Lucas and his 1st A.D next to me... after the 1st left, George turned to me to ask if I was OK... taking me to a different start position saying “we’re going to start this one on you.” Imagine what that felt like, having a legend telling you they’re doing a shot on you from a series of films you watched as a kid! Unfortunately that shots now sitting in the archive at Skywalker Ranch as it didn’t make the final cut unless it ends up in the HD directors cut release.
